Here we are at Day 17 (holy cow). We had a relaxed day and did some light hikes to some pretty lakes in the area. The weather was spectacular.
Good-bye, Glacier!
Today we bade farewell to Glacier and began our drive south. Before we left the area, we decided to check out the Two Medicine section of the park.
Glacier day 2: (grizzly) bears, oh my!
We started our second day at Glacier National Park by heading up to the Many Glacier area, which is a bit more remote and considered by many to be the best that the park has to offer. We weren’t in…
I hiked deep into the heart of grizzly country and survived!
Well, we lucked out! Weather forecast was for a cold rain today. We headed out anyway and were rewarded with a slightly chilly, but pretty day!
Glacier National Park: fantastic, but where are all the bears at?

Glacier National Park is glorious!
Here we are at Day 11 already! What better way to spend it than at Glacier National Park? First stop on the agenda was the famous Going to the Sun Road, a 50-mile scenic route through the park.
The Badlands should really be called “the Goodlands”
We have been travelling for one week today. We “celebrated” by spending the day at Theodore Roosevelt National Park.
Theodore Roosevelt National Park: so much wildlife!
We spent the day at Theodore Roosevelt National Park with its many animal inhabitants. The wildlife density here is crazy—it always feels like there is a buffalo, prairie dog, or some other creature around every corner.
Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is pretty great
We just returned from a full day at Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, which I’d never heard of until last week. We had a great time, and ran out of daylight wishing we could have spent a couple more hours there.
Cuyahoga…an unusual national park
Today we explored Cuyahoga Valley National Park in Ohio. Affectionately nicknamed “America’s Most Accessible National Park” Cuyahoga definitely is…different…than any of the other National Parks we’ve been to.
