Just a short update tonight because it’s late and we’re pretty tired after a full day of driving (almost 600 miles!). We’re just outside of Boulder, CO, in a $58/night room booked through Hotwire. While here, we plan to see Rocky Mountain National Park and Pikes Peak, so we’ll be here a few days.

The drive from West Yellowstone, MT took about 10 hours, and was mostly uneventful. Wyoming is mostly wide open empty space, so we finished our third audio book of the trip (Behind Closed Doors by B.A. Paris, which Lori enjoyed more that I did).

Without question, the highlight of the drive was stopping at a random gas station in Dubois, Wyoming, and finding that it happened to house the “world’s largest Jackalope exhibit”. So before heading to bed, I leave you with this ridiculous photo of Lori on one of these majestic creatures (see our Twitter feed for a couple more photos of the exhibit):
